ahh, that would be the sorce of strange cheesy smell in kitchen

The Camembert I left on top of microwave to ripen before my couple of days as an unexpected guest of the NHS...

I can safely say that it is now ripe...

I still blush when I remember taking an unpasteurised Camembert in my hand luggage on a flight to Glasgow... and the smell getting into the aircon.
