Okay, I finaly succumbed...
Feb. 1st, 2005 09:11 pmThere is 15lbs of cat licking the anthricite in the coal bucket.
I didn't set out this morning to get a cat but I was sort of hanging out on the RSPCA websites and sort of went to just have a look at him.
And sort of came home with him.
He's, well, grey and tabby and overweight.
I think he's going to be called Nero but I've called him Spookie twice now, so, like Peeko - my elderly friend's Scottie - he may end up being Spookie MkII by default (they were on Peeko III when I knew them).
He bit me earlier, my own fault for scaring him, but I think he will be fine.
He's a very fine cat.

Date: 2005-02-01 10:50 pm (UTC)On the weight issue, our Two Fat Ladies were 7 and 6.5 Kg when they arrvied, and the vet immediately put them on obesity control food. Turned out they really enjoyed it, and it left them feeling full enough not to moan. They are now a more reasonable 4.7 and 5.3 Kg (Frigg who was the larger of the two is now the lighter), and far too active for middle aged pussies.
