Just got back from job interview, think it went okay, his main concern seemed to be my 11 mile commute.
It's shorter than the 14+ mile commute I do now and not down one of the busiest roads in the country (the A56 which connects the M6 to the M56).

It's 1.5K more than I'm on now, if he offers it me, I'll say yes so fast they won't know what hit them.

It also made me realise how difficult and complicated my current job is, I could run their office and their reception with one hand tied behind my back, it's so easy by comparison.

Should know his discision by Wednesday. Fingers crossed.

On a culinary note, the chicken and garlic soup I make last night smells 99.999999% garlic and 0.00000001% chicken...

Of course they should want to hire you!

Good luck anyway.

Personally, I like garlic soup.

So do I but this is a wee bit on the garlic side. I think I was overcompensating, I discovered when I was making it that I was out of preserved lemon, a prerquisite for Sue's chicken and veg soup.

Everything crossed.

You do realise Jan can probably smell your soup from here?

Goodluck on the job front, and garlic soup with a touch of chicken sounds wonderful at present.

Although my personal belief is that they should pay you more than the 1.5K more than you're making now...

And the chicken soup sounds about right, to me.

Every penny helps.
I didn't realy want the job before I went for the interview - it's still a bit of a drive to work (down country roads all the way) but they seemed like nice folk and it would be nice to work in the centre of town again, as opposed to an industrial estate. Wilmslow is *quite* a town.

Good luck, lass.
Please reverse ratio of garlic to chicken or I'll be able to catch a whiff this side o't Pennines! *To my lasting shame and the disbelief of my mates, I'm not a great lover of garlic. Cooked well in, in a small amount is fine. Just the smell of raw garlic makes me heave and a large amount of garlic in anything "taints" it for me. Yes, I'm a mutant...*

It's not compulsary, except in my chicken and garlic soup. It was supposed to be chicken and pickled lemon but nevermind.

And I don't like mushrooms for breakfast, so non of us are perfect.

Yes indeed we are. Plans are still fluid at this point though I suppose we should start firming up quite soon. I'd like to be there early enough for Precursor and I, at least will be staying over for the Tolkien 2005 conference in Birmingham the week after Interthingy.

Oi! I resemble that remark! Finished plaques for Filkcon guests today, now need to varnish them and post off, at least they are done in good time this year!
