For those following The Saga Of The Hand
Feb. 8th, 2005 07:41 pmWent back to Wythenshawe hospital again today - easier said than done - left home at 8am for 8.30 train to Altrincham (£6.50!!!!) then local bus (£2.50) got to hospital at 9.45.
Outpatients v.efficient, went in at 9.50, all finished at 10.10.
They are pleased with it, though I have to go back in a week for the removal of stitches and discussion of physio. Looked okay to me, not red anymore, still slightly swollen but that's most likely internal bruising from the op. Still have to keep elivated as much as possible, which is fine with me, it throbs if I don't.
Still have big bandage over all of hand and middle finger, was sort of hoping for a smaller one.
Went back into Alty and called in at excellent pet stall on market for mouse on string and feathers on stick.
Called in on old friend Helen and we did the ladies that lunch thing at Bar 41 (note to self, self assembly barritos may not have been best of ideas, bit messy) we plan to do the same again next week.
Came home and played with Ellbee until he fell asleep, feather on stick a great hit.
