two days without internet... barbaric... not so much as an internet lounge in hospital, nearly insane with boredem

humph, home now, silver lining? Off work 2 weeks, can't drive so lots of time to bond with cat.
can't draw, can't drive, can post but slowly
remind me why I wanted a cat...

Eek!

Glad you're all right now, though.

You wanted a cat because you miss having a big purry lump to sit on you. They're essential.

Well, for a given value of "all right" (reading your post more carefully) - but I mean, not at risk of losing your hand, um... cat bites are dangerous, I keep telling people...

Oh no!

Hope you feel better soon!

Because you have now had your Bad Cat Bite Experience and may reasonably hope not to have another. And cats are more fun when not delivering Bad Cat Bites.

I wish I'd read this before I posted my most recent entry.

At least my knife blade was clean. Poor you.

Ouch indeed. Hope it gets better soon and doesn't recur - I've had the same illness two or three times now after being bitten by my (allegedly harmless) snakes, presumably as a result of bacteria in their mouths, so I know how these things can happen.

What an excellent time to practice drawing right-handed! Well, poor you. I hope the recovery is as quick as it can be. There's nothing worse than typing one-handed and not having any fun doing it.

Ah yes, the problem of one-handed typing, with only one hand...

And these days you can connect anything to a USB port.

Good grief ... even Snufkin has never managed to put me in hospital, though if he reads this he may well try ...

Get well soon, and bond swiftly with your cat.

Get well soon! I hope your new cat is worth it, but it will be. I'm sure he'll make up for it.

I did wonder if that would be okay after your last post. My mother's hand was very badly injured by what seemed to be a minor cat bite and she needed antibiotics. Hope your other hand can rejoin the land of the working soon.

Ooops.

They dash between your legs and trip you up at the top of the stone cellar steps. They wait until you're comfortable in bed and then jump on you and go to sleep on your arthritic hipjoint and won't budge. They DEMAND a cuddle and a fuss as soon as you put on a smart black top. They make instant and deep friends with people who visit you who are allergic. They go off their favourite food for life, just when you've spotted a 5 for 2 offer in the supermarket and invested half your monthly salary.

And mine hasn't even bitten me ! although he did get a good scratch in on John's shoulder earlier today, passing by on his way somewhere else.

Yes, cat bites nasty! I had to go to the emergency room for IV antibiotics when Dominic bit me, but at least they didn't make me stay. It was okay after that though and I hope yours is too!

Hugs
