Dragons and Graysons and Owls, oh, my.

Saturday, Northwich to buy new cat bowls from the charity shops, 6 Portmeirion rip offs for 99p did the trick. I turned down three exquisite gold edged bowls. Someone has enough ideas above his station without eating off gold plated platters, thank you. I then did the bird walk around Marbury, saw the tawny owl (think large feathered cat) but not the bittern, well worth the walk. Found out about my black swan; he was part of a breeding pair but his missus froze to death last year trying to fledge a late brood, sadly he's not likely to find a new gal round here.

Today was Manchester for Chinese New Year with ealdgyth and husband. I drove to Navigation Road then got the tram, parking in town is such a bind. Loads of stall selling tat and food and fairground attractions, we had a fine time. Tat was bought, food was eaten, sights, sounds, smells appreciated.
We then went into the Manchester Art Gallery to see the new Grayson Perry acquisition. After coffee and moon buns to bring home, it was a good weekend.
