Went to a christening today, followed by another grand scrump.

St Oswald's Winwick, http://www.stoswaldwinwick.com/index.php (good, old fashioned English saint) has death watch beetle in the roof, so we, like the regular congregation, had to use a small prefab behind the church. Lovely sunny afternoon, which was a good thing, as there were lots of people there. Lovely day,

I must have 30lbs of apples, maybe more, I will schlep the scales down from the bathroom to weigh them, way too heavy for kitchen scales. Mostly Bramleys but also some russet type reds. One of the estate security guards came along, oho, thinks I this'll be fun, but he was only telling me where the eating apples were on the other half of the estate.
I also managed about 5lbs of fabulous plums, it was a Barclay's security guard I knew on duty today. I've had 80% of the reachable plums off that tree.

Dropped the car off at the garage, the house looks like a harvest festival, with leeks and carrots and onions and apples and plums and damsons...
And Max is still curled up against Mummy, he missed me, bless him.
