Tuesday, in the sun.
Aug. 29th, 2012 09:19 amWe drove down to Aberdaron this morning, I walked the beach, we stayed for a couple of hours then back to the hotel, left Mum knitting in the lounge while I walked to Ynysgain and back. Caught in the local traffic jam of cows going for milking.
Dinner was pork loin with pepper and sweet potato mash with black pudding, followed by banana bread and ice cream and both were excellent.
Short walk about Dinas after dinner.
The weather, in contrast to yesterday, has been sunny and bright, so sunny that I have a cold sore.
Wednesday morning, grey and rainy again. Going to leave Mum in the hotel while I go walking, most likely to Llanystrumdwy and back. This afternoon we are going to Porthmadog, to pick up boots from Hillary Croughton (long story) and do a bit of shopping. Rain is lashing down at the moment but the rest of the week is due to perk up (allegedly).

Purple hippy on the beach alert.

Lovely sea at Aberdaron, the tide was quiet out so there was lots of nice sand to walk on.

Traffic jam in Criccieth, cows being taken for milking. The cyclists had a little girl, about 12 to 18 months? They had been letting her sample blackberries, straight from the bush, I approve of this kind of non-mollycoddling behaviour. I'd had several blackberries meself.

Cow ona beach, makes a change from Cow ina canal.

Lovely flowers on this Criccieth guest house.

My favourite Criccieth garden, Buddha's cottage.

Date: 2012-08-29 12:08 pm (UTC)I see plenty of cows here in Florida, but they are always behind fences in big fields. Amusing to see a cattle traffic jam. :)
