Weekend with friends.
Nov. 2nd, 2014 07:44 pmDown to Reading for a convening of The Creosote Club (dinner party group).
Steve fed us so much meze, lamb stew, sea bass followed by cakes (made by Giulia) and baklava (also by Steve) that we were, as is traditional, fit to burst.
Utterly fabulous food, he'd been working on the feast for three days, up to and including making his own yoghurt.
We ate some more of it for lunch today before I drove home and I've just polished off some more for dinner, with a slice of pomegranate cake, and regretting not bringing two slices home...
Max has left me a present of a puddle on the sofa bed and a dead mouse. It's because he loves me. I think.
Off for a hot bath now (according to my Doctor, seen on Friday, my trapezius is in spasm, has been on and off since Worldcon, so I'm off to the physio soon about it, it's causing multiple aches and pains) to soak away the long drive home.
