Serena, bless her, came over and clipped them while I held the fearsome beast. To be fair to him, once he realised it was painless (apart from the assault on his dignity) he put up with it better than I expected. John just videoed the proceedings for the police files posterity.
We swapped plants, Serena brought me a rose bush in exchange for the fruit tree, which I have planted up. Another chicken demolished, the coconut and fennel stew smells even better than last weeks. Max has pickings and I have a breast for dinner.
Vacuumed the lounge and defuzzed and washed Max's bedding, he's been flea droppered but still has some so the bedding is in on a hot wash.
Nearly nine miles this morning, came back via Tesco (organic milk) and B&Q (for wide masking tape - Anna's photo still not up, I have decided it needs a black frame, not a brown one). Cold and dry and much more pleasant walking than yesterday. Still v.muddy underfoot.
Stripped the bed this morning so I need to make that then a long hot bath is in order.
