Mostly spent the weekend opening the back and front doors so Max can stand there with a pissed off look on his face, he doesn't approve of cold, wet weather.
I now fit in M&S size 20 trousers, in Short. This is useful to know, but trying them on, while wearing walking boots, leggings and waterproof trousers, is a daft idea. Anyway, I have a pair of work jeans and two pairs of poplin walking trousers for if/when the weather ever cheers up. Hurrah.
I left the car in the Leicester St car park and walked up from Northwich to Cumberbach Memorial Hall to look at the photos entered in the FoAM competition. I hadn't won anything but some of the winning entries were stunning, particularly the wildlife shots. Next time, I'll submit larger prints too. Walked home through Anderton.
I bought the DVD of Hair the other week and watched it last night, not a great musical (the stage version is better, IMHO) but fun non the less, and worth the £3 I paid for it for the fabulous rendition of Aquarius http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9oq_IskRIg by the lovely Ren Woods, with dancing horses and hot Tai Chi.
Today it is bitterly cold and snowing on and off, did my 7.5 mile walk but it was so cold, not that much fun, particularly cold beside the canal. Listened to the Archers Omnibus, oh my.
Painting boxes this afternoon, did a fabulous phoenix/dragon and lots of green men/fairies, all for Eastercon, which is sneaking up of me at a rate of knots.
I also managed a Mulligan's stew - I had a pack of lamb but not enough to make dinner for 5 nights, so I intended to buy more, came home with a pack of stewing pork, oh well, it will all taste okay once stewed down. Daft apeth that I am.
