Kids still "Play Out" and lose footballs over the back yards, leading to "Can I have my ball back please, Missus?"
This makes me happy.

In other news, the car is now washed, so should meet Mrs Bucket's exacting standards for trip to Criccieth.
Front door washed, just had lunch and now working on kitchen.

But somehow, a TV show seems a daft way of casting a musical?
ITV seem to be doing that for JCS, which is one of my favourites. Not going to watch the show, not my kind of thing.

I've mentioned before that I adore the original film. Makes me cry, musicals and opera often do, even when you know the ending before you start. ("Run, my boy, run!" has me in floods - bonus point for getting *that* quote)

Carl Anderson out performs everyone else on screen, this is where I think he realises he's lost his friend and hero to a cause.

Quite fond of the 2000 version, if only for the perfusion of slashy overtones (not that Carl and Ted lack that either) but Glenn Carter is too much the drama hippie in this version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeeKZ9vnknI

Why, yes, J/J slash does float my boat, why are you not surprised?
