Just been up and bopping for a hour at this - http://www.liftoff-festival.com/search/label/Seth%20Lakeman
And yes, you so can belly dance to Seth Lakeman.

But I forgot my camera :(

And it didn't rain!!!
Given that it has rained constantly from about 9am until about 4.30, heavily, sometimes horizontally, we (Ju, WNLJ from werk) were expecting to get a mite soggy. But the skies cleared! By the time Seth came on they were totally clear of any cloud. Dancing helped to keep me warm, it was about 5 degrees cooler down by the Weaver Navigation than it was just a couple of hundred yards up in the brew in the car park.

The support act, Lucy Ward, was also a delight. I bought her single, but didn't have enough money on me for an album, have to go to plunder Amazon on payday. She's not just a talented singer, she's also very funny and charming and sharp witted. I'd go see a full gig by her anyday. Her story about meeting June Tabor and losing it was so familiar; we've all seen people meeting Pterry or Neil for the first time and losing the plot.

Seth was well, you know, sex on a stick. Very talented and very accomplished with an audience, but still, sex on a stick.

It was also a delightfully small gig, I recon there were no more than 300 people there. So no queues for the bar (but no real ale, chiz) no heaving hordes or queues to get out of the Boat Lift car park.
Can't remember the last time I enjoyed a gig that much. Much thanks to Ju for inviting me.
