Walk to Llanystumdwy
Jun. 3rd, 2012 04:08 pmSet out midday, it was rather damp.
I walked along the cost as far as Ynysgain, then along the beach and down to the river Dwyfor. Some kind soul has put down a hundred yards of duckboards at the boggiest point, for which I was very grateful, just me and the birds most of the way, it was very damp. There was a tern on the beach being harangued by a herring gull, so I went back onto the path so as not to stress her out any further.
Stopped in Llanystrumdwy for a bacon bap and a mug of tea, then up past the Lloyd George memorial along the country lanes back to Criccieth.
About 5 miles according to Google pedometer.

Just had a well earned shower, bit soggy and sticky but I think it has stopped raining. Hiding in room as hotel is a zoo (Sunday lunch, kids everywhere).
Photos under cut.
