Busy day, tired now.
Apr. 7th, 2012 10:50 pmNipped into Northwich this morning to bank a cheque, shop and visit the tip, then off to Heaton Moore to visit Eric n Debs. The plan was to go to the costume museum at Platt Fields but, as it wasn't open until 13.30, instead Eric did major damage to several trees in the garden while Debs and I boxed books before the dining room gets decorated. When we ran out of boxes, Debs and I went into Heaton Moore to get lunch at http://www.townbar.co.uk/ We both had burgers, Debs was veggi, mine was beef and both were good. The chips were sublime. We then went to the other end of Heaton to explore charity shops and have coffee and cake at Juniper. I bought a CD and an egg coddler for £2 (fancied coddled eggs for a while and the interwebs seems to think that a good old fashioned Royal Worcester egg coddler, as your gran had, is the best way to do it). We picked up more boxes for packing books then I came home via Tescos.
Tonight, I've mostly been reading back issues of http://satwcomic.com/ and drinking red wine.
Tomorrow the bedroom carpet gets a thorough vaccing, it's like velcro, the cat hair sticks to it like mad. Then I start on the spring clean of the lounge.
Congrats to my friends nominated for Hugos, particularly the lovely
papersky so pleased for her.
