Last day at work today.
Feb. 4th, 2011 09:31 pmUntil new job starts on Monday, I am a free woman. Bwahahahahah!
Two bouquets of flowers, one from co-worker, S, beautiful tulips, the other from two members of another team, who I barely know but who I will miss, mixed cream and yellow, cheerful and sweet.
Three cards, with a surprising amount of dosh (now in the Wales holiday pot).
Another tenner from V for a small insulated bottle for my tea milk. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a 250ml insulated bottle? Trust me, and V, it's hard, she tried three different outdoor equipment shops! I refuse to pay £12 plus for the Lakeland one.
A beautiful hand blown black rainbow nightlight holder (which can be hung up out of the reach of Certain Cats) which came fabulously wrapped in cat pleasing tissue and with a feather trim, also a cat toy whether one wants it to be or not (remember the sad fate of my fascinator?).
And an official corporate balloon.
We retired to pub but not as much fun when you are the only one drinking (everyone else driving).
I walked down to the pub, boy, is it windy, not cold, but very blowy and got a lift back with V.
In the time it took me to bring the corporate balloon into the house and turn around to get the phone, SOMEONE had eaten through the string, so the balloon is marooned on the ceiling and it's little pink anchor is being batted about the floor. All this string can't be good for him. The lady on the haberdashery stall on the market knows me by name, I buy about a yard a month to repair cat toys.
Tired now, I was up at 5:45 this morning, early night tonight, methinks.
