Minus 14c last night! And colder tonight.

And as I defrost the car at 6:45 am, diamonds of frost sparking in the frigid air. Cold, cold, cold!
I have brought out the cat loo for his nibs, I hope he appreciates this, cat litter is hard to get hold of, people are using it as grit.
Supposed to get even colder at the weekend, with the wind picking up.
There was a lone coot and her chick on the brook, poor little bugger won't last long in this cold.
More photos under the cut, pretty much the same as yesterday, fabulous light, more frost and the brook is freezing over. I'd love to go further afield but I chucked out my wellies about a year ago (I hadn't worn them since the early 1980's) and it's too bad underfoot. I bet the canal looks fab, it's only 150 yards but the pavements haven't been gritted and are icy, so maybe not.
