End of an era?

My cousin is coming on Sunday and we are going on a car hunt!

I went to look at the car place at the end of my road and had to confess that I don't know anything about cars. So I called Gary, who does, and we are going to go to all the local car sellers, there are about five within a mile of where I live.
His brief? 3k to spend, must be small, must be as recent as possible. Beyond that, I don't really care about the marque or anything.
My beloved Purple Buddie, is 13 now, I've had it for 10 years, it doesn't owe me anything. But MOT is at the end of December and it's not really worth spending any money on it.
Feel like I'm betraying it! It still starts first time, every time, but it is feeling a bit long in the tooth, doesn't accelerate as well as it used to, can't do those Welsh mountains like a little mountain goat any more. Sad.

And the next one wont be purple!!!! Devastating!

One of the few fruit/veg I will buy ready prepared, because sitting there with your fingers going black, winkliing the seeds out with a darning needle is such a bore.

Am I the only one who looks down at the seeds on the spork and thinks, 'There goes another eight months'?

Secret Santa

I have a problem with a Secret Santa present for werk.
Our Sainsburys no longer sell mini bottles of booze. Oh noes!
Do I need a larger Sainsburys? Does anyone know if any of the chains of off licenses sell them any more?
