Bit sad, always am when I leave Wales.
We all woke up early this morning, why is it always gloriously sunny on the day you come home?
Cleaned and cleared the house and went to Beddgelert for breakfast.
I called at The Riverside Chocolate House to stock up on noms and see Janice and Clive, who are lovely. http://www.riversidechocolatehouse.com/index.htm If you are ever going down the A5, do stop there.
On my *way* to Pormeirion, I stopped there for tea and bara brith and there was a kitten, or young cat, hanging about the car park, approaching every car that stopped. Obviously, it had been dumped by some unutterable bastards. It was half starved and when I picked it up, it cuddled against me purring. I left the car park in tears, but as I was on my way on holiday (to somewhere I couldn't keep a cat, even just for a week) there wasn't much I could do. On Sunday I phoned Clive and he told me it had been taken in by some local teenage girls in the village. I was also the fourth person to ask after it (I was going to ask Janice and Clive to feed it for the week and I would pick it up today). I'm happy she found a home, sickened by the sort of people who would abandon an animal like that and heartened by the number of people asking after it's welfare.
Got home and did the weeks shopping and washed the car (rook crap, a hazard of Portmeirion). Max is snoring on the other end of the sofa.
Tired, can I have another holiday, pls?
Last few pictures under cut.
